Yes, debasish_ch, I was laughing to my heart’s content while reading that post.
 A very candid confession indeed !. That person wrote another post in “Moner Moto Gaan”, where a very important point is made . It is not  that any song you like should be included in the thread. The idea is that there are some songs that are related to some important / memorable incident in your life, so that you love  ( or hate )  but definitely  remember that song. That person gave an classic example to stress that point ( again  a free and frank description of that incident without obfuscating the bitter truth ).

I also want to tell my favorite “Moner Moto Gaan” and the reason behind it. Long long ago,  during one trip to Calcutta  when I was about 12 years old, I was playing  ( either catch and catch or hide and seek, I don’t remember and it doesn’t matter ) with other children ( all unknown to me, they are my relative’s neighbor ) in the roof top. One girl, about my age, was very dominating and dynamic as well { compared to the general standard of Silchar girls during  that  period, (no offence meant, Silchar girls are the most beautiful  and loveliest of all )}. I was very much attracted to her and a Hemanta Mukherjee  song was playing  in the neighborhood during that period. That song is my  “Moner Moto Gaan” ;

That girl  is not my first love, nor my first crush, I haven’t met that girl second time,  but the song was impregnated in my ears  for years to come.

Same with me, Shankarda. There are a lot of songs that I remember for special reasons.

1. Bhava Sagar Tarana Karana He: Reminds of my Dadu, he used to chant it every morning.
2. Sakhi Bhavana Kahare Bole: My Dad, that was the first Rabindrasangeet he sang to me.
3. Rodana bhara e basanto: That was the song I was playing when I heard of my Dadu's demise... and yes, it was springtime.
4. Yeh dosti (from Sholay): My first encounter with the big screen...
5. Do you really love a woman (Bryan Adams): This was the song playing in a Shillong restaurant... prompted me to ask the girl sitting next to me "Amake biye korbe?". And she replied in affirmative.

There are lots more.

RD-e jokhon jigaila je gaan lekhia aancho ni.. tokhon Javed-e koila je gaan un gulli maaro, awar shomoy raastat ekta khub shundar meye dekhsi. RD-e jigaila meyeta kirokom... tokhon Javed-e kichu deri amta amta koria koila je ami tumare kaalke koimu.

Next day, Javed-e lekhiya niya gela... ek ladki ko dekha to aisa laga.

Dost dost na raha , pyar pyar na raha( this is the first hindi song which i heard and that is also in my dad's voice)

Nach meri bulu bul ki paisa mile ga(everytime when we got to listen to this song my boro jethu used to dance with its tunes.........funniest moment in my life and probably in his life too)
